Чаще всего понятия «клиент» и «сервер» описывают распределение ролей при выполнении конкретной задачи, а не вычислительные мощности. На одном и том же компьютере могут одновременно работать программы, выполняющие как клиентские, так и серверные функции. Например, веб-сервер может в качестве клиента получать данные для формирования страниц от SQL-сервера (так работает Википедия).

    The Comunidad Andina de Naciones (CAN – Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela) has its origins in the 1969 “Acuerdo de Cartagena”. Over subsequent decades the various institutions which now form the CAN were set up: the Council of Foreign Ministers in 1979, the Court of Justice in 1983, the Presidential Council in 1990, and the General Secretariat in 1997. The ultimate aim has been to create a Latin American common market. A free trade area was established in 1993, and a common external customs tariff in 1994. While all members have adopted a common foreign policy, more ambitious attempts at integration have been less successful. However, with a combined population of 122 million, and a GDP in 2004 of 300 billion dollars, the community is a significant economic group. In 2004, the leaders of the countries of South America decided to create the “Comunidad Sudamericana de Naciones” (“South American Community of Nations”) or CSN by a gradual convergence between the CAN and Mercosur (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay), plus Chile, Guyana and Surinam. This will create, in time, a vast free-trade area encompassing all of South America.

There are essentially two approaches to Web site search: basic search, suitable for small Web sites of 50 pages or under, and advanced search, for larger Web sites, which allows a user to refine their search on the basis of various parameters.
         In either case, because search is an exclusively functional activity, the search results should be very clear and contain no distractions. Each set of results should include: the title of the Web page that it refers to, shown in bold type and hyperlinked to that page; a two-line summary describing the content on that page; the URL for the page, and its date of publication.

    Исходная базовая идея у всех ИБП одинакова и основана на использовании резервного питания от аккумуляторов. Если напряжение в электрической сети исчезло, необходимо достаточно быстро переключить нагрузку на питание от встроенного аккумулятора, и наоборот, если напряжение восстановилось, снова переключить на питание от сети.
    Время автономной работы от аккумулятора должно быть достаточным для безопасного завершения работы компьютера без потери информации.

    В настоящее время сложилась общепринятая классификация ИБП по двум основным показа­телям - мощности и типу ИБП.

    Классификация ИБП по мощности носит упрощенный характер и отражает в основном конструктивное исполнение ИБП:

    • ИБП малой мощности от 250 до 3000 ВА выпускаются в настольном или стоечном исполнении,
    • ИБП средней мощности от 3000 до 30 000 ВА обычно изготавливаются в напольном исполнении,
    • ИБП большой мощности от 40 до нескольких сотен кВА имеют напольное исполнение и размещаются в специальных электромашинных помещениях.

    Существуют две топологии ИБП:

    • off-line (резервные) ИБП,
    • on-­line ИБП.
